Can you copy a bag I am currently using?
Possibly. We can not copy from an existing bag. It may be possible to use exisiting printing plates you have. You would need to contact Bags Plus for further information. We can duplicate any design and match the ink colours providing you have the PMS numbers.
Can you match the ink colours I want on the bag?
Yes. We use the PMS (Pantone Ink Matching System). Any PMS colours will be different if printed on a bag other than white. For example, white ink on a black bag will look grey. If you do need white ink on a black bag, please call us for advice.
Can I have a coloured bag other than white?
Yes. However there are minimum quantities and limitations of colours available. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
Can I have a photographic image on a bag?
Yes. This is called four colour process which duplicates a photographic image. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
What image size can I have on a bag?
We can print to within 10mm of each edge of the face of the bag in most cases and 100% coverage if a single colour is used.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum order quantity varies from style to style, and the number of colours used.
Why is the order quantity supplied plus or minus 20%?
Printed carry bags are not over printed like screen printing. The film is firstly extruded to size and thickness required. Then it is transferred to a printing machine to be printed flat on a roll. Then it is transferred to a bag making machine. The printed roll is folded, cut to size, sealed and packed. This many levels of production produce some waste at every level. We provide for a waste allowance and that’s why you may receive more or less than what your ordered, up to 20%. If we send you more than 20% over-run, then the extra bags are your for free.
What artwork is required?
See the artwork page for artwork requirements.
Why do I have to pay a deposit?
Since the bags you order are custom made for you, we can not proceed with pre-production until a deposit is paid.
What happens if I cancel my order?
Then you only have to pay for any charges that were incurred up until the time you cancelled the order. This would include artwork, plates, printed film or bags already manufactured.
If I reorder, do I have to pay for new plates?
No, as long as there are no changes to the design. Printing plates will deteriorate over time and therefore may have to be reproduced.
Can I get an actual bag as a sample proof before production?
No, it’s like asking for one copy of the morning newspaper before it is actually printed.
